How to plant plants in a flowerpot?
- Make sure the pot is big enough. In some cases, you may need to repot your plant into a larger container every two or three years.
- Lay a draining layer of gravel or pebbles of at least 5 to 8 cm on the bottom. This will allow water to drain through the existing holes in the bottom. Then apply a geotextile felt that will retain the soil during watering so that it does not block the drainage holes.
- After the flowerpot is prepared, you can start planting. Form the root ball by gently removing dead or damaged roots. Now place the root ball in the soil and tamp it down.
